 Course Descriptions

  2094 - A Christian View Toward Political Involvement. This course will impart a Christian view on politics from a biblical perspective in order to become familiar with the political process. Students will discuss the importance of the church as a strong foundation in assisting in the development of programs for the community as a whole.

4001- Basic Christian Beliefs. This course will focus on questions regarding the historical and contemporary Christian faith. Students will explore the beliefs and interpretations of the faith and will be guided to develop a personal Christian belief system and a life-purpose statement.
Instructor: Dr. Robert Dickerson  

6013 - Organizing the Church for Christian Education. This course will focus on the various administrative and organizational skills needed to direct the Christian Education department.
Instructor: Sis. Cynthia Mikell

7001– Building Healthy Churches. This course is designed to help leaders in local churches understand the importance of being a healthy church in the community. Various biblical principles will be studied to effectively move a stagnate ministry to a flourishing congregation.

7005 – Christian Evangelism. This course is designed to teach the basic steps in developing a program of evangelism. Students will discover the appropriate Scriptures to use and the methods and techniques in order to witness to the non-believer.

7010 - Introduction to Discipleship. This course will introduce the believer to the biblical principle of discipleship; examine the character traits of believers, while looking at the overall examples of Jesus. Students will study the discipleship methods of Jesus and to learn the difference between membership and discipleship. Instructor: Rev. Thomas Shannon
