Ushers

Ushers & Health Professionals Ministries

Mission Statement

For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand, I had rather be a Doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. Psalm 84:10

The purpose of ushering is to "Help Win Souls for Christ".

Evangelism is a part of every Ushers duty, helping to bring the unsaved to church, where they are brought in contact with the meaning of Grace. Ushers must be dedicated to the cause of Christ. Ushers represent the general character of the church. Ushers must convey a favorable impression of the worshipers, ensuring that everything is done decently and in order. Ushering is the art of making members and visitors feel comfortable and lending "Spiritual Dignity to the Worship Service.

Ushers united throughout the twelve districts, monthly meetings are held; including training. A yearly conference is held to enhance the spiritual growth of the Ushers within the local church.

The Church Health Professional

The goals and objectives are to educate co-laborers within the local church as needed. Ensure professionals are ready to assist in the case of medical challenges during worship services, district and convention "parent body" sessions. Medical assistance provided by RN's, LPN's and Certified Medical Assistants.

As a Ministry in the local/convention, nursing in the new millennium has taken on new challenges. Although we are not trying to circumvent the need to help the sick, to teach or work in the local church; we must realize that education and experience is a critical factor.

Scripture: I Peter 2:9

Who are Church Healthcare Providers, "You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of the darkness into His marvelous light."
